Cooperation in visual arts for promoting regional’s cultural identity

Achieved project results and outcomes would have a multiplier effect on further development of the tourism in the CB region. Tourism sector will be positively affected by the increased tourist movement through the realization of the project activities and creation of conditions and environment for development of alternative forms of tourism. Also, project outcomes could be extended on other initiatives in the municipalities from the CB region by establishing broader cooperation framework and extent established network with the members from other municipalities, by promoting the transfer of best practices and know-how of the development of arts tourism and developing a competitive advantage so as to confront the deterioration of the market conditions. Developed web-based platform which at this stage will present up-to-date information about cultural events in Bansko and Kumanovo can be updated and expanded with new modules in the future (accommodation establishments, types of attractions, forms of tourism) and can cover neighboring municipalities and to be known as a main and most reliable source of tourism information. The project envisages 2 workshops on topics related with the visual arts and tourism, during which specific measures and tools will be indicated for further common actions in the tourism development and promotion. Almost all activities conducted and lessons learned within this action can be easily replicated in other municipalities or regions.
