European Cooperation Day 2017
Orchestrating hundreds of local events, sixth year in a row, the European Cooperation Day will be celebrated across Europe in September 2017. The campaign, coordinated by the European Commission in cooperation with the Committee of the Regions and the European Parliament is to present to the public the achievements of cooperation between the European countries and regions.
In a capacity of Managing Authority of Interreg – IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance between the Republic of Bulgaria and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Self Government of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (National Authority under the Programme) and Joint Secretariat of Programme organize the celebration of the European Cooperation Day with a sport event on 27th of September 2017, from 11:00 in the “Arena Petrich” sports hall in Petrich, Bulgaria. Under the motto "Sharing borders, growing closer" young people from Petrich and Strumica will compete in basketball, volleyball and football, which will show cross-border cooperation between the two countries.
