Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY)
Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) is an initiative to support Interreg Programmes and Projects. Promoted by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy and managed by the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR), IVY allows for the involvement of young people in projects of European Territorial Cooperation. Interreg Projects beneficiaries can host a volunteer to support, promote and report achievements of cooperation. The volunteer will be part of your team, bring new ideas and help realise the project and advertise its results. Each experience is of a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 6 months. The application procedure is simple and AEBR looks for candidates thanks to the partnership with the European Solidarity Corps. AEBR financially supports the volunteer, covers the insurance and helps the volunteer relocate. Since March 2017, almost 400 volunteers have joined IVY contributing to the visibility of Interreg projects all over Europe.
