Construction of integrated system for detection and prevention of forest fires in Nevestino and Makedonska Kamenica

The project is addressed to the construction of 2 Automatic observation towers for detecting forest fires in the municipalities of Nevestino and Makedonska Kamenica and delivery of equipment for control centers, which will be located in the selected cross-border area. Forest fires affect not only the environment but also the economy, society and human health. The project is a step forward towards the environmental problem of firefighting in the border region and ensuring future cooperation between the partners in the field of fire safety and environmental protection. Focus on developing a Joint Action Plan in line with EU best practices (Risk Management Plan and Forest Fire Prevention Plan) to provide all necessary procedures and tactics to ensure the effectiveness of the measures taken in case of critical situations in the cross-border region. Raising awareness of people from the selected cross-border region about the causes of man-made fires.
