Climate friendly healthcare institutions

Project will strengthen health systems to cope with the health threats posed by climate change, including emergencies related to extreme weather events. Project will address needs in the fild of climate change related diseases through support the preparation of health adaptation strategies for both Municipalities, and formulation of adaptation plans requiring health-system action. The project will provide the health sector in municipality of Shtip and Gotse Delchev with information, tools and advice so it can actively participate in local, national and regional climate change mechanisms. Preparation of the health sector to reduce the climate change risks to the people's health, should begin with development of climate friendly health institutions and institutions which are responsible for the environment. Project will address these challenges with implementation of mitigation measures, reconstruction the part of the hospital in Shtip and partial reconstruction of the hospital in Gotse Delchev (reduction of GHG), and implementation of adaptation measures, replacement of equipment’s in Gotse Delchev, which will result in reducing of water consumption.
